Our Southbank Clinic
The Southbank location was the first of the Melbourne Combined Natural Therapies clinics. The clinic was opened in 2004 By Phil Romeril as a solo remedial massage practitioner. In 2006 the clinic joined forces with Teamfit gym, building 2 practice rooms within the space, and adding Chiropractic to the services offered.
2011 brought some big changes for the business, moving into their own space at 51 City Road and fitting out a 5 room clinic. Cal Savage joined the team in 2013 and together the business partners have continued to grow the business including another move into the current location within the Southgate complex.

Our Clinic Services in Southbank:
Remedial Massage Southbank
Remedial Massage addresses muscular pain, dysfunction and/or injury that can affect your function and mobility. It is used to prevent, correct and rehabilitate the soft tissue structures (muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia) of the human body.
Remedial massage sessions can incorporate massage, trigger point therapy, myofascial dry needling, myofascial release, cupping, thermal therapy / Cryotherapy, postural assessment and correction, corrective exercises (stretches, strength).
Myotherapy Southbank
Myotherapy is a manual treatment option which can assess, treats and rehabilitate clients from muscular pain, dysfunctio and any associated issues. The word myotherapy was originally coined to describe a form of trigger point therapy which arose in the 1970s. It had been developed from Dr Travell and Simons research that showed the cause of many pain related problems happening in the body were due to myofascial trigger points (knots).
In the modern world myotherapy has changed into a more medical treatment option and is considered an allied health discipline which is used in many countries throughout the world and respected within the western medical industry.
Cupping Therapy
As part of a our practitioners might use cupping. Through negative pressure/suction, the cups can release tight muscle, loosen adhesions, stretch connective tissue and brings blood to the area and with it the necessary nutrients and minerals essential for muscle health.
Dry Needling Southbank
Dry Needling is an efficient and effective treatment that can reduce myofascial pain and dysfunction. Dry needling is based on western anatomy and neurophysiology principles to treat myofascial trigger points.
Myofascial trigger points (MTrPs) are commonly seen in both acute and chronic pain conditions. Hendler and Kozikowski site Myofascial trigger points as the most commonly missed diagnosis in chronic pain patients.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue is more general than remedial and myotherapy and uses only firm pressure massage. Regular deep tissue massage can be very helpful for maintenance of muscular health and wellbeing. Deep tissue massage is suited to those people who don’t have specific pain, discomfort or injury. It is ideal for people who experience general stiffness and tightness or people that just want a massage but prefer firm pressure.
Relaxation Massage Southbank
A relaxation massage can be a great way to manage stress. It is more gentle and flowing than the other types of massage. All our massage therapists are fully trained with a minimum diploma of remedial massage and are able to adapt to your preferred pressure. Relaxation massages can be very light or use firmer pressure.
Low Level Laser Therapy
We provide Low Level Laser Therapy in our Southbank clinic for pain relief and healing.
Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) or cold laser is a technique that utilises specific wavelengths of light to stimulate the tissue and accelerate the healing process. It is useful for patients who suffer from many acute and chronic conditions in order to help resolve pain, swelling, reduce spasms and increase functionality.
