Before and after every client contact. Wet hands and lather with soap, scrub for 20 seconds and then rinse under clean, warm, running water. Dry hands with disposable paper towel or hand air dryer, use paper towel to turn off tap and open door of wash area, dispose of paper towel in bin.
Handling Of Linen
All used linen is washed and dried in a hot cycle tumble dryer after each client. Clean linen is stacked ready for use in each room.
Disinfecting Rooms & Equipment
Massage tables, bolsters, face pads and any other used equipment are cleaned thoroughly with disinfectant spray after each client. Door handles & all flat surfaces are cleaned with disinfectant spray after each client.
Management Of Sharps
All used sharps are disposed of using approved containers. Alcohol wipes are also available for use on skin when dry needling.
All used cups are thoroughly washed/disinfected after each client.
Practitioners experiencing symptoms including sore throat, cough, chest pain, fever and runny/blocked nose will self isolate until they have been cleared by a medical practitioner. We work closely with Southgate Medical Centre to ensure the health of all practitioners. In the event a practitioner has an infectious / contagious disease confirmed clients will be notified.
Clients experiencing symptoms including sore throat, cough, chest pain, fever and runny/blocked nose will not be treated until they have been cleared by a medical practitioner. All clients are required to follow health department recommendations regarding self isolation. In the event a client has an infectious / contagious disease confirmed they should notify the clinic.
